How to Care for an LCD Monitor

What is the proper care for cleaning for my monitor?

For LCDs with hardened glass exterior, you can use commercially available computer screen cleaners or optical lens cleaners e.g. for sunglasses and buff with a soft cloth. A damp cloth with mild soap can also be effective, but no abrasive cleaners. We also do not recommend frequent use of Ammonia based household cleaners as they may damage the optical coatings on the display.

For other LCD monitors, use only cleaning products specifically designed to clean LCD monitors and do not apply heavy pressure when cleaning the surface.

If the main problem with your LCD monitor is lint, try using a used dryer sheet. Remember not to rub hard. A dryer sheet is designed to remove static and lint so do not rub the screen.
